West Hoathly Game Fair & Country Show

Hook Farm, Hook Lane,
West Hoathly,
East Grinstead,
West Sussex, RH19 4PT
10:00-17:30

West Hoathly School Association and the Seasoned Sausage Company are organising a Game Fair and Country Show.
The ethos of the show is to provide the local community with an affordable, educational and fun day out for all the family, whilst raising funds for local charities who help on the day. All proceeds from the show go to local charities.

In the main arena, there will be a fun dog show, bird of prey, fly fishing and horse and hound demonstrations, a tug of war and ‘welly wanging’ competition. This year there will be a second arena for minority breed gun dog demonstrations. Throughout the day, there will be the 'Have-a-go' clay shoot stand and 'Have-a-go' fly casting stand for adults and older children, as well as ferret and terrier racing, and a gun dog scurry. You can watch traditional craft demonstrations (chainsaw carvings), or watch your children drive around the 'Little Landies' arena in miniature Landrovers. There will also be a new 'farmyard experience' this year where children and parents can 'stay and play' with the animals in the farmyard marquee, or take a llama for a walk.
The beer tent will be serving an array of drinks, including some real ales from the converted double decker bus Bar ML2355, with live music.

On Friday evening (2nd June), BarML2355 will be opening at 6pm, with live music from 8pm and hot food available. All welcome including children. £1 entry. Under 16s FREE.
On Saturday 3rd June, the show is open 10am until 5.30pm. Entry is only £5 per adult. Under 16s FREE.
There is free parking next to the showground.
On Saturday evening (3rd June), there will be a barn dance in the beer tent from 8pm. BarML2355 will be open and hot food will be available. All welcome including children. £5 entry per adult. Under 16s FREE.

In 2015, the inaugural show was held on the village recreation ground, but due to the large number of visitors and the increase in events and the addition of the working dog arena, the show has been moved to a larger site at the other end of the village, on Hook Lane (see map in Contact page).
